\nThe Atom XR can be used with or without a pedal. If you are using the foot pedal, you can choose between \u201cmaintained\u201d and current mode. This means you can use the foot pedal to start the tattoo machine with one click or by holding the foot pedal as long as you want the machine to work. There is also a jump start mode for tattoo machines that need some extra power to start.
