REACH REGULATION

From January 4, 2022 the regulation is in force REACH – use of tattoo inks/mixtures. The new law, among other things, restricts the use of certain pigments and preservatives in tattoo ink. One of the prohibited substances is isopropanol. Inks containing this component must no longer be used from 4 January 2022 onwards. 

Pigments "Blue 15:3" and "Green 7" have a transitional period, namely up to January 2023.

The mentioned pigments (blue 15:3 and green 7) are also used in new tattoo compounds (new manufacturers' collections) and will also be banned from January 2023. New inks are still being developed and will replace existing ones (also those located in new series, from January 2022).
